What is Joyland AI?

Joyland AI is a platform for chatting with AI characters, which it calls bots, and for building your own. Its site promises "character-driven conversations on an immersive AI chatbot platform," and its home page sorts bots into four tabs: For You, a hand-picked mix from the Joyland team; Trends; Follow Creators; and Interactive Novels. Joyland's terms of service are an agreement with MINDZEN PTE. LTD., a Singapore company that also publishes the Android app; the iPhone app's seller is ELDORIA PTE. LTD.

Every bot opens on a scenario and a greeting written by its creator. Around the chat, Joyland offers five chat models, Personas that set who you are in a conversation, Lore that adds depth to a character, a Memory function, and image messages from bots that support them. Novel, in beta, is a shelf of interactive stories: in Interactive Mode you pick what happens at the end of each segment, and in Story Mode the next part writes itself. How to use Joyland AI online on a PC or phone

Joyland is a website first. Its apps are for iPhone and Android, and the App Store marks the iPhone app "Not verified for macOS," so on a Windows PC, Mac or Chromebook you use joyland.ai in the browser.

1. Open joyland.ai in Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari; the address takes you to www.joyland.ai.
2. Browse For You, Trends or Interactive Novels, or search for a character.
3. Open a bot. Its scenario and greeting appear first, and you reply to begin.
4. Choose Log in / Sign up when Joyland asks. An account is what keeps a chat going, unlocks the pictures and voice messages bots send, and lets you create your own character.

Above the message box, the toolbar holds Suggest for ready-made replies, Photo, Change Model, Share and More, where you check your credit balance, save a chat and start a new one. Hover over a bot's message to edit, copy, delete or regenerate it. On a phone the same site runs in Safari or Chrome.

2. Choose Continue with Google, Facebook, Apple or Discord, or Or continue with Email to sign in with your email address and password.
3. Use the same method every time. Joyland's sign-in note says an account is created automatically if you aren't registered, so a different method can open a new account instead of yours.

Is there a Joyland AI app?

The US App Store sells Standard at $9.99 and Premium at $19.99, and Google Play lists in-app items from $9.99 to $94.99. Paid plans open the four Pro chat models: Roleplay for focused scenes, StoryStream for plots that grow over days, Lifelike for natural conversation and Vividtale for cinematic, descriptive prose. Moving up mid-plan costs only the difference. Joyland's terms say a subscription renews until you cancel, that you cancel through the payment partner you bought it from, and that partial months and years aren't refunded.

Joyland AI age rules

Joyland's terms of service and privacy policy bar anyone under 13 from registering, and EU citizens and residents under 16. The app stores set a higher bar: the App Store rates the iPhone app 18+, and Google Play rates the Android app Mature 17+ for sexual themes. Joyland's FAQ says adult content is limited to select bots and prohibited for any bot under 18, and the website asks you to confirm you're over 18 before it opens content marked for adults. Its rules ban bots that depict minors, including characters "aged up" from a source where they were minors.
