Kitsune and fox spirit stories you can play
Kitsune and gumiho stories run on one question: what does the fox want from a human? In folklore a nine-tailed fox might need a hundred livers, a hundred days unseen or a single promise kept before it can become human, and that answer shapes everything it does around your character. Interactive play lets you ask the question yourself, reply by reply, and decide whether the tails are a warning or an invitation.
This collection gathers fox spirit Stories from Joseon villages, Edo-period forests and modern Kyoto: an exorcist hunting the nine-tailed fox who once saved him, two fox gods who receive a sacrifice as their bride, a political marriage between fox and tanuki clans, and a hidden mountain village of kitsune that takes in lost travelers. In some you meet the fox; in others you play it.

How to choose
Decide first whether you want to play the fox or the human. Stories where you are the gumiho turn on hiding what you are, while Stories where you meet one turn on how much you believe. Then pick the setting: a Joseon or Edo folktale plays slower and stranger than a marriage between fox clans in a modern city.
