Each of these Stories opens on a first meeting with a love interest, or with four of them. Open the Story, choose Enter, type the name the Characters will call you and write your first line.
- Shinohara Kai in The Hospital's Four Popular Doctors: a psychiatrist, a surgeon, an orthopedist and an ER doctor, four routes in one ward and 19 quests to work through.
- Ren in Loved by the Mafia?!: you missed the last train, and four childhood friends who now run rival crews all find you at once.
- Lucien in The Villainess You Asked For: you wake up as the villainess of your favorite otome game, and all four capture targets already despise you.
- Gam Mayun in Engaged to the Wanton Prince: the crown prince mocks you, his fiancée, in public, and a rose still turns up at your door every night.
Not sure which love interest suits you tonight? The otome romance route quiz matches your mood to a Story in three questions.
What is an otome game?
An otome game, "maiden game" in Japanese, is a story-based romance game played from a female lead's point of view, where the goal beside the main plot is a relationship with one of several love interests. Fans call those love interests capture targets, and each has a route: a branch of the story that follows him to an ending. The first is generally held to be Koei's Angelique (1994), made by Ruby Party, an all-woman team inside Koei.
Most otome games look like visual novels: character art over painted backgrounds, a text box, and a menu of replies at the moments that matter. Your picks raise or lower each love interest's affection, and affection decides which ending you reach. Seeing every route means playing the game again for each one.
What is a dating sim?
A dating sim adds a stats and calendar layer to the story. You get a set number of in-game days, and scheduling dates, giving the right answers and doing activities raises a character's attraction until you win them over. Konami's Tokimeki Memorial (1994) made the genre popular in Japan. The two words overlap so much that most players use them interchangeably: the dating sim leans on numbers and schedules, the otome game on story and routes.
The classic loop: routes, affection and endings
Every otome game and dating sim runs on the same loop: pick a love interest, raise their affection with the right choices, reach their ending, then replay for the next route. Here is what changes when the love interest answers whatever you write.
| Part of the loop | Otome game or dating sim | AI otome game on Teasa |
|---|---|---|
| Talking | Pick one of two or three prepared replies | Write any line or action you want |
| Routes | One script per love interest, locked in once you commit | Pick a Story and a love interest; the scene follows what you write, and you can change course mid-scene |
| Affection | Hidden affection points or a visible meter | Relationship milestones record the moments you earn with a Character, and History shows the bond from Just met to Inseparable |
| Progress | Chapters and unlocked art stills | Up to 20 quests per Story, with objectives in History |
| Endings | A good, normal or bad ending per route | No fixed ending: keep playing, or start the Story again from its opening |
| Cost | Free to start, then energy and premium choices in most mobile story games | Free in the browser; no choice costs gems or diamonds |
How AI changes the otome game
You write your own lines. A menu holds the replies the writer thought of. Here you can tease, deflect, ask the question no option covered, or say nothing and act. The love interest reacts to what you did, in their own voice.
Routes aren't fixed. In a Story with several love interests, you don't lock in a route at a branch point. You spend the scene with whoever you choose, and the Story follows. Leaving one doctor's side to find another is a line you type, not a new playthrough.
The relationship carries on outside the Story. Any Teasa Character can be messaged from their profile. Direct messages are free and unlimited on a free account, so you can talk to your favorite love interest about what just happened, or about your day.
One scene, played two ways
Take The Hospital's Four Popular Doctors with you as the new nurse. Suzuhara Hayate, the ER doctor who turns away every flirtation with the same cold efficiency he brings to a code blue, has just corrected your chart in front of the whole ward.
A classic otome game would stop on a menu: Apologize, Argue back, Stay quiet. Here you write the moment. These are example first lines to make your own:
| What you want | A line you could write |
|---|---|
| Test him | "You corrected me in front of the whole ward. Do you do that to everyone, or am I special?" |
| Win him over slowly | I fix the chart, then leave a coffee by his monitor without saying who it's from. |
| Take another route | I spend my break with Hiiragi Ryo instead and ask what Hayate is like when nobody's watching. |
The third line is the one no menu offers: you just walked onto another route, and the Story goes with you.

How Teasa compares
Episode, Choices and Romance Club give you illustrated scenes, outfits and routes a writer polished line by line. Teasa gives you the part a menu can't: the conversation itself. Every Story starts with an authored opening, a role for you and a cast, and from there your words decide where it goes. No choice is locked behind gems or diamonds, no chapter waits on a timer, and the best reply in the scene is the one you think of.
Around the conversation, Teasa keeps track the way a route does: quests with objectives in History, relationship milestones that record what you earn with each Character, and a direct line to the love interest after the Story ends. Searching for games like Episode or games like Romance Club because you want more say in the romance? This is the version where you write it.
Teasa Stories that play like otome routes
A few more Stories built the way an otome route is built, with a love interest worth winning and a reason to come back:
- The Tokyo Share House: eight singles move into a luxury Tokyo house for a romance reality show. It's the closest thing on Teasa to a dating sim, with seven housemates to read and 17 quests.
- Two Bodyguards in the House: your father sends two bodyguards to live with you, Reikyo warm and careful, Reiko cool and blunt, and you decide how close either gets.
- The Senior Who Hates You: Tae-min Ryu is warm to everyone in the department except you, the classic campus route in enemies-to-lovers form.
- He Swears He Will Never Love You: you remember dying as the villainess of a novel, and you have one marriage to dodge that death route.
Or pick a collection the way you'd pick a route:
- Love Triangle & Multiple Love Interests: more than one person paying attention to you, the multi-route otome game.
- Slow Burn Romance: feelings that build in inches, for players who replay a route for the small moments.
- Enemies to Lovers: the rival route, where every reply decides how fast the walls come down.
- Royalty & Nobility: princes, dukes and court rules that weren't written for you.
- Childhood Friends: the love interest who has known you longest.
- Villainess: wake up in a romance-fantasy world cast as its villainess and rewrite her ending.
Otome players often choose by archetype first. Teasa has a collection for each classic one: tsundere, kuudere, yandere and dandere. For dragons, fae and royal courts, the romantasy guide picks fantasy romance Stories by trope.

FAQ
What is an AI otome game?
An AI otome game is a romance game with a cast of love interests where you write your own lines instead of choosing from a menu, and the love interest answers what you said. On Teasa, romance Stories work this way: an authored opening and cast, then your words decide the route.
What's the difference between an otome game and a dating sim?
An otome game is a story-based romance game told from a female lead's point of view, with a route for each love interest. A dating sim adds stats and a calendar, where scheduled dates and right answers raise a character's attraction. Many games mix both, so players often use the terms interchangeably.
Can I play a dating sim online free?
Yes. Teasa runs in any browser, and guests play their first 20 turns of any Story with no account and no download. A free account keeps your Stories going and adds free, unlimited direct messages with any Character.
Where can I play otome games online without downloading anything?
Open teasa.ai in a browser and start a romance Story. Stories with several love interests, such as The Hospital's Four Popular Doctors or Loved by the Mafia?!, play like a multi-route otome game.
What are some games like Episode, Choices and Romance Club?
Episode, Choices and Romance Club are menu-based story games with illustrated chapters. If you want more say in the romance, Teasa lets you write every line yourself, with romance Stories organized into collections like love triangle, slow burn and enemies to lovers.
Do Episode and Choices charge for choices?
Both are free to download and sell premium currency. In Episode, gem choices cost Gems and reading takes Passes. In Choices, premium choices cost Diamonds and starting a chapter takes a Key. Both offer a VIP subscription at $14.99 a month on the App Store.
Does Teasa have affection points?
Teasa has no affection meter that switches dialogue. Instead, relationship milestones record the moments you earn with each Character, and History shows how your bond has grown, from Just met to Inseparable.
Can I pursue more than one love interest?
Yes. Stories with several love interests let you spend each scene with whoever you choose, and Start new gives you a fresh playthrough to try a different route while your first one stays saved.
Is Teasa free?
