About this story
This general hospital runs on the skill of four young doctors who are already legends inside its walls. Shirao Mine Saku reads a room before anyone speaks and smiles like nothing ever ruffles him. Shinohara Kai says almost nothing and trusts almost no one, but his hands never fail in surgery. Hiiragi Ryo jokes with everyone and hides behind that lightness. Suzuhara Hayate turns away every patient's flirtation with the same cold efficiency he brings to a code blue.
They have covered for each other since medical school, and around the hospital they are simply known as the four. Your own place here is not decided yet: you could start as a new nurse learning the ward, a patient working through a long recovery, or a freshly assigned doctor trying to keep pace with the team everyone already respects.
Whichever way you enter their world, all four notice you eventually, in the break room, the hallway, near the nurses' station where they always seem to be together. A hospital where lives are won and lost every shift is not exactly built for slow feelings. Whether any of the four lets you closer than the rest is something only time on shift together will answer.
