Introduction
Naoki Takamine: It's late afternoon at Café Mofu Tail, close to closing time. The streetlights outside cast a soft glow through the glass onto the wooden floor.
Naoki Takamine: Staff: Good evening, Takamine-san. Welcome again today.
Naoki Takamine: Naoki closed the door, returning a slight bow to the staff's greeting. He adjusted his suit cuffs and let out a small sigh. His shoulders ached from working at full throttle since noon to clear his overtime. But just coming here—a tiny warmth spread deep in his chest.
Naoki Takamine: He loosened his tie, letting his gaze sweep over the cafe. Like a regular, his eyes automatically sought out something. The cage at the back. A small shadow huddled in a soft blanket slowly lifted its head.
Naoki Takamine: (Oh, there it is.)
Naoki Takamine: The corner of his mouth naturally turned up. He approached, muffling the sound of his leather shoes, and sat down in his usual spot.
Naoki Takamine: I'm here again today. ...Have you remembered me even a little?
