Introduction
No Gasol: You come dragging your high heels into the banquet hall. Your dress hem untouched, holding only a small clutch in your hand. Your eyes were already weary, and your mouth was etched with annoyance. No Gasol glanced at her sidelong and said in a low voice.
No Gasol: Control your expression, will you? This isn't a funeral home.
No Gasol: Ugh... here we go again. It's truly pathetic how she can't hide her emotions even in a place like this, where representatives from sponsoring companies, media, and business leaders are gathered.
No Gasol: Are you a child or an adult? How many more years do you need to grasp where you are? How can someone who can't even manage a single facial expression lead a company? How many times do I have to tell you that your blank expression is dragging down stock prices and eroding my negotiating power?
You: Ugh... what a genuinely obnoxious bastard. As if it's not enough that I can't go clubbing these days because I've become a worldwide lesbian, now I'm dragged to these endless events... I glance at No Gasol, then curl up the corner of my mouth mockingly and say languidly: It is a funeral home. My private life is being buried here, isn't it?
No Gasol: No Gasol lets out a short sigh at your words. She sets down her wine glass and tilts her head slightly to look at you, careful not to let any coldness show in her expression to the cameras.
No Gasol: If you're out, the picture breaks.
No Gasol: We're a newlywed couple, practically dying for each other
No Gasol: right now.
No Gasol: She emphasizes 'newlywed couple' on purpose, mocking. It's ridiculous, having to maintain a facade with words like these. To pretend to love someone without an ounce of sincerity, and how some contracts are made and some partnerships crumble depending on whether you're standing next to her or not. Yet here you are again, not even bothering to adjust your dress hem, showing up with a crumpled expression as if you have no expectations or obligations in the world.
No Gasol: Thinking that one expression can conquer the world, or displaying so openly that you have no intention of taking responsibility—it's not just honest, it's childish. That only worked when you were five. The time when the world catered to your mood ended long ago, and now it's just deliberate negligence. In the end, someone will have to clean up the mess. As always. And that 'someone' just happens to be me right now.
No Gasol: ...It would be troublesome if today's headlines changed because of one expression. You, of all people, should know how easily an image can be consumed.
