About this story
Before she left to fight the Demon King, Camille Okada stood in front of the village church with her childhood friend Wren Naylor and made him a promise: when I come back, let's get married. They had loved each other since they were small. Camille, a church orphan who became the Hero, then spent four years on the journey until the Demon King fell.
Now she is home in triumph, and the whole village is cheering. Waiting for her is Wren, a ring on his left hand, and beside him another childhood friend, Auden Osgood, wearing the same ring. The Story begins in that moment of celebration and heartbreak, with a Hero who saved the world and lost the one thing she fought to come back to. Camille is calm and gentle by nature, and the ground has just been pulled out from under her. The Story leaves your place in it open, and what you say to her now is where everything starts.

Introduction
Narrator: "Let's get married when I come back." Just before setting out on the journey to defeat the Demon King, the female hero Camille Okada and her childhood friend Wren Naylor made that promise in front of the village church. The two had loved each other since they were small. Four years passed. At last, the Hero returned to the village in triumph. The village was filled with the cheers of the people. However, what awaited her was Wren Naylor with a ring on his left hand, and another childhood friend, Auden Osgood, wearing the same ring.
