I'm coming from Character.AI. How does Teasa work?

What you'll recognise, and what's new

On Character.AI	On Teasa
Chatting with a character	DMs: message any Character one-on-one, free and unlimited on a free account
Starting a roleplay	Stories: you play a part inside a scene with a whole cast, quests that pay Gold and relationship milestones
Picking a model	Chat styles: Hojicha, Matcha, Earl Grey and Oolong, each writing in its own voice
Memory	Characters recall the facts you share and the milestones you earn, and you can see, forget and pause what they remember
Making a character	Creator Studio: create a Character, or bring one in from a card or from Character.AI

Bring your chats

Save each character's chats with the free CAI Tools browser extension, then drop the files into Teasa's Character.AI import. Each character you pick becomes a private Character with a private Story that continues your latest chat, and your earlier chats come along as the story so far. How do I bring my Character.AI chats to Teasa? walks through every step.

Bring the characters you made

Creator Studio's Bring a character reads the character file CAI Tools downloads, or the name, tagline, description, greeting and definition you copy from Character.AI's editor, puts each in the Teasa field with the same name, the whole Definition included, and saves it as your private Character. See How do I bring a character I made on Character.AI?.

What's free

• Your first 20 turns of any Story need no account in a web browser.
• DMs with any Character are free and unlimited on a free account.
• Hojicha is free and unlimited in Stories, and Matcha is free every day.
• A free account keeps 3 private Characters and 3 private Stories. Imported Characters and Stories are private, so bring your favourites first, or choose Teasa Basic for unlimited private ones.

Where Teasa runs

Teasa runs in any web browser at teasa.ai and in the iPhone, Android and Windows apps, in 9 languages. Your account and chats are the same everywhere.
