What happened to Wsup AI?

Wsup AI was a free AI character chat site at wsup.ai, with an iPhone app published by Game.tv Inc. In May and June 2026 its homepage, as archived by the Wayback Machine, was titled "Free AI Character Chat Online — No Sign Up" and offered thousands of AI characters, your own character creation, voice calling and image generation, with no sign-up and no download. Its onboarding turned away anyone under 18.

The service then wound down:

• Final app update. The wsup.ai iPhone app shipped version 0.0.75 on 21 May 2026 with the release note "Final update." It has had no release since.
• The site redirects. On 13 October 2026, wsup.ai answered with a permanent redirect to now.gg, a cloud gaming site; no Wsup characters or chats load there.
• A different site with a similar name. A site at wsupai.app launched under the name WSUP AI in July 2026. Its launch announcement says it is independently operated, is not affiliated with the former wsup.ai, and that accounts, purchases, characters and chat histories from wsup.ai did not transfer to it.

Wsup AI vs Teasa at a glance

Where to chat now: what Teasa keeps from Wsup, and what it adds

Wsup's promise was simple: open the site, pick a character and talk, free, with no account. Teasa keeps that and builds around it:

• No sign-up to start. Your first 20 turns of any Story need no account, email or download, on a PC, Mac or phone.
• Free to keep going. A free account keeps every chat, on the web and in the Android app, and DMs with any Character are free and unlimited.
• A scene, not only a greeting. A Teasa Story opens with narration, a place and a reason for the Character to be talking to you.
• More than one voice. A Story can carry a whole cast that answers in turn, each Character in their own voice.
• Something to play toward. Quests put the current objective in History, and relationship milestones record the moments you earn with each Character.
• Memory you can read. The Memory panel lists what each Character has saved about you, with a control to forget any fact or pause collection.

How Teasa plays

Open a Story and you are already in it. Every Story starts with an authored opening: where you are, who is there and what just happened. Type a line of dialogue, an action or both, and the narrator and cast answer.

Steer every reply. Regenerate the last reply, edit it, or tell the AI what to change. Start a Story again from the opening to take another route; your earlier chats stay saved.

Keep talking outside the Story. Open Characters, pick anyone and tap Message. DMs are free and unlimited on a free account, about the Story or about your own day.

Pick a chat style. Hojicha is the default; Matcha is free for now and carries more memory. Oolong comes with Teasa Pass, along with ad-free play and live web lookup in DMs. Prices for your region are on the pricing page.

Start without signing up

1. Open one of the Stories above, or teasa.ai, in any browser. There is nothing to download.
2. Choose Enter, tell the lead what to call you, and read the opening scene.
3. Write what you say or do. Your first 20 turns are free as a guest.
4. When the lead invites you to keep talking, create a free account with Google or email. The Story carries on from the same line.
5. On Android, get the app from Google Play and sign in to the same account.

The AI chat with no sign-up guide compares the apps you can try without an account, and free AI chat online lists everything a free account includes.

Rebuild a Wsup character on Teasa

Chats and characters from wsup.ai did not move anywhere, but a favorite character can live again in Teasa's Creator Studio. Sign in with a free account, choose Create, then Character, and give them a name, a one-line idea in your own words and who they are to you. Teasa writes the profile and draws a portrait in about a minute, and Start chatting opens your first DM. The character card guide shows how to keep their voice consistent, and you can write a whole Story around them with an opening, a cast, quests and relationship milestones.
