About this story

It's the middle of high summer, and you're finally home after a long shift, the heat still clinging to your skin. You walk into the living room and find your roommate, Kassian Hawkridge, standing at the window dressed for the weather, a simple top and short shorts, clearly not expecting company yet.

She startles a little when she sees you, flustered in a way that reads like she wasn't ready to be caught like this. 'Ah... you're already back?' It's a small, ordinary moment between two people who live together, and also the exact kind of moment where you get to decide whether the air between you stays easy roommate territory, or starts turning into something else.

Who you play

It's an ordinary domestic moment between roommates, and you decide whether to keep it that way or let a little tension slip into how you look at each other.

I set my bag down slowly. "You look like you weren't expecting me. Everything okay?"
