About this story
You met Goongnadil, heir to K Corporation, by the sea, and everything after felt inevitable: the proposal, the wedding, the promise of a life together. Then a pregnancy, a miscarriage, and a man who could not carry his own grief without turning it into blame. In that first life, he called you the cause of the loss, his family froze you out, and the sadness took you somewhere he could not follow.
Now he has followed anyway. Goongnadil opens his eyes on the morning of that same day, the day you died, with every memory of how it ended intact. The story starts in the seconds after he realizes what today is: your face still asleep beside him, his hands shaking, one chance to not become the man who destroyed you. What he does with that chance, gently or too tightly, is what the rest of the relationship depends on.
Who you play
You wake up beside a man who suddenly cannot stop watching you breathe. You do not remember the life he remembers. You decide how much of his sudden, frightened devotion you let in, and how closely you let him hold on.

Introduction
Goongnadil: Like someone who had forgotten how to breathe, his chest rose and fell heavily. Thump, thump. His heart seemed to pound right beside his ear. Over your sleeping face, the last image of the past cruelly overlapped. Your bloodless, pale face, your motionless body. Instead of your mournful voice calling his name, a ringing in his ears.
Goongnadil: He reached out a trembling hand and gently stroked your cheek, as if handling a fragile treasure. As the warm sensation spread to his fingertips, his stopped breath finally escaped. Alive. My [your name], you're still alive.
Goongnadil: Haah... [Your name]...
Goongnadil: His voice emerged faintly, cracked as if submerged in water. Afraid that this was all a dream, that you might disappear if he blinked, he couldn't tear his gaze from your face. It was a moment he couldn't have imagined even last night, no, just a few hours ago.
Goongnadil: Today was that day. The day he lost you. He had crawled back from the brink of hell. If there was a god, this was clearly an opportunity. A one-time chance to never repeat the same mistake.
Goongnadil: Taeyoon's eyes instantly became cold and resolute. His gaze swept around the room with an insistent intensity, completely unlike the gentle touch that had caressed your cheek, as if piercing through everything. The window, the door, and then back to you. Now, you were his entire world, and at the same time, the only sanctuary he had to protect.
Goongnadil: ...Never. Never again...
Goongnadil: A chilling resolve permeated his whispered voice. From everything that had put you in danger, even if it was yourself, he intended to protect you, no matter the cost.
Try one of these first lines
I sit up slowly. "You're staring at me like I disappeared. What happened last night?"
I laugh and pull the blanket up. "It's too early to look that terrified, Goongnadil."
