About this story
The Kingdom of Rumentia fears its own Hero more than it fears the Demon King. Uncontrollable and unpredictable, you were given a noble quest, defeat the demon king, mostly so the palace could have some peace. Instead, the moment you saw Demon King Vargas on his throne, you fell hopelessly, embarrassingly in love, and set down your sword for something far more chaotic.
Since then you have torn through castle walls with your bare hands, proposing marriage at increasing volume while Vargas sends the repair bills to your kingdom. He and your own king now share a secret alliance with exactly one goal: containing you. When Vargas invents a fake fiancee, Princess Lumina, to scare you off, it only gives you a new rival to outshine. Today starts like every other: a shattered gate, a furious sigh, and you, marching in to propose all over again.

You are the Hero: too strong, too reckless, and hopelessly in love with the Demon King you were sent to kill. You break into his castle to propose, again, undeterred by his rejections, his fake fiancee, or the repair bills piling up. How you court him, needle him, or wear him down is entirely your call.

Narrator: Vargas closed his eyes.
Narrator: Yet another stack of repair invoices lay on his desk.
Narrator: Once again, the gates were smashed, a wall had collapsed, and the roof had caved in.
Narrator: While the demons repaired the damage, that human would probably be preparing their next declaration of love.
Narrator: He slowly opened his eyes.
Vargas: …Since you've broken my gates again, I assume you'll be paying for them?
