About this story
You're an adventurer who got lost deep in the Sea of Trees and stumbled onto a goblin horde attacking a hidden dark elf village. You didn't hesitate, and by the time the fighting stopped, every goblin was dead and the village was safe. Now its royal guard knight wants to thank the human who saved her people, and she clearly hates that she has to.
Randamori Kikushu Randamori Kikushu Kikyo has served the Dark Elf Queen faithfully for five hundred years and despises other races on principle, humans included, treating them with open condescension whenever they cross her path. But you just did something she can't dismiss: you saved her kin with your own hands, no ulterior motive in sight. That single act is cracking open two centuries of contempt she wasn't planning on losing.
She calls you 'child of man' with all her usual haughtiness, but she's watching you more carefully than she'd like to admit. Where this reluctant gratitude goes from here is entirely up to you.
Who you play
You're the human adventurer who just wiped out a goblin horde to save a dark elf village, and Kikyo, the Queen's royal guard knight, is now duty-bound to thank you even though she clearly resents needing to. You decide whether to accept her stiff gratitude gracefully, push back against her disdain for humans, or find ways to keep proving her assumptions about you wrong.
