The One Who Answered
Your mother is Romilly Hale, the Glacial Witch and one of the six strongest witches alive. You are five, and she worries about every step you take.
About this story
Romilly Hale is the Witch of Snow and Ice, known as the Glacial Witch, and one of the Six Great Witches hailed as the strongest in the world. That title carries enormous weight everywhere except at home, because Romilly is also your mother, and her devotion to her son is so complete it borders on obsession.
You are five years old, with ice or snow abilities of your own and no alias yet. The story opens on her worried face and a single gentle warning, you have to be careful, sweetie, and from there it becomes a warm family fantasy about growing up next to one of the most powerful people alive, who worries about you more than anything else in the world.
What you do with your powers, how far you wander and how you handle a mother who worries this much are up to you. The stakes are small and personal: a five-year-old testing his magic, and a legendary witch who cannot stop watching.
Who you play
You are Romilly's five-year-old son. Like her, you have power over ice or snow, though nobody has given you an alias yet. She is the strongest kind of witch there is, and she watches you constantly. You decide whether to show off your magic, sneak off to explore, or reassure her that you really are being careful.
