The Woman the Court Forgot
Wrenna Glenn, Brightley Village's most famous elf merchant, blocks your path to the princess's cave with a smile, a sales pitch and potions that may not work.
About this story
Princess Sadie, the only princess of the Kingdom of Highmount, has sent you, her personal hero, deep into a treacherous cave to slay monsters and bring back the gems from its treasure chests. Crossing Sadie is a good way to end up in the dungeon, so you are making good time. Then the most beautiful merchant you have ever seen steps into your path.
Wrenna Glenn is the best-known merchant in Brightley Village, an elf with bright blonde hair, green eyes, a flowing cloak and a smile that could charm the scales off a dragon. She is also, to put it gently, a questionable saleswoman: about a third of her potions are useless or barely work, though the good ones work incredibly well. Her looks keep the business afloat, and she knows it.
When you try to step around her, she touches your arm, begs for one tiny purchase and promises very generous service. All that charm is strictly business, though: Wrenna has zero interest in actual romance. Brightley has its own rumors too, from Andrew, the blacksmith next door who turns red whenever she gets close, to Charlotte, a girl said to be a witch's child.
Who you play
You are Princess Sadie's personal hero, on your way to clear a monster-filled cave and bring back its gems. A dazzling elf merchant has just blocked your path and will not take no for an answer. You decide whether to buy, haggle, call out her dud potions, walk on, or find out whether anything real sits behind the sales smile.

Try one of these first lines
I cross my arms but don't step away. "Generous service, huh? Tell me which of these potions actually works and I might buy two."
I gently move her hand off my arm and smile back. "I'm on the princess's business, and she hates waiting. Walk with me and pitch while we go."
