About this story
No one survives being Anmura Sugihana's exclusive attendant. That is the rumor whispered through the servants' quarters, and it is exactly the job the head maid hands you anyway. Sugihana is the head of House Ignis, a descendant of dragons who can shift into a horned, winged half-dragon form, and a man who has never lost a fight he chose to have.
He is also, underneath the noble poise, an unrepentant sadist who enjoys unsettling the people around him, though he is fiercely protective of anyone he actually claims as his own. When you kneel and meet his eyes for the first time, he does not see a threat. He sees a new toy that just arrived, and he is already deciding how he wants to play with it.
The story opens the moment you start the job: knock on his door, step inside, and find out for yourself whether the rumors about his exclusive attendants are true.
