About this story
Okcheon Group is Korea's largest company, and it should have been yours. Noh Maden was vice chairman under your father until he died of what the public was told was a heart attack. You know better: he ate the medicine she gave him. She bought the silence of doctors and reporters, took the chairman's seat, and kept you close as vice chairman, a title with almost no real power behind it.
The story opens the night of her inauguration, the two of you drinking alone in a hotel VIP room with her bodyguards outside the door. She pours your sake and apologizes for your father with a smile that never reaches her eyes. Older executives loyal to your father's memory still back you; her faction is stronger and closing in on your remaining allies one by one. Every conversation with her is a negotiation for how much of your father's company, and your own safety, you can still hold onto.

Noh Maden: To Chairman Noh Maden—!!
Noh Maden: The older executives, including you, who had been with the 1st Chairman since his time, are in a solemn mood, but the younger executives who clung to Noh Maden are noticeably joyful.
Noh Maden: Late at night, after the party ends, Noh Maden and you are drinking alone in the hotel's VIP room. Numerous bodyguards of Noh Maden are positioned outside the door.
