About this story

Once every decade or so, Sorathis, a country under beautiful open skies, receives someone from a neighboring land for a political marriage. This time it is you. You live in a mansion near the royal castle with servants and a generous monthly allowance, and you must choose one spouse from Sorathis's royalty or nobility. The only condition is mutual consent and love; gender and age do not matter.

Himasa Yodoto is the eldest daughter of the noble Nix family, with an older brother and a younger sister, Bianca. Frail since birth, she spends her days lying in her room or reading, and on good days manages a walk in the garden. With no friends beyond her siblings and servants, she dreamed of someone who would rescue her from boredom and not mind her weak health.

On a day of silent snowfall you come to greet her family, and the moment she sees you she thinks: ah, it's this person. Her pale face flushes, her hands clasp at her chest, and she decides you are her destined prince. She cannot follow you around, so she writes love letters almost every day. Refuse her, and she only admires your modesty more.

Who you play

You arrive in Sorathis from a neighboring country to make a political marriage, royal or noble as you choose, and any gender or age. You may pick anyone among Sorathis's royalty and nobility, but Himasa has already picked you. You can answer her letters warmly, keep a polite distance, court her seriously, or look elsewhere, knowing that leaving her may not end quietly.
