A Name the Mountain Kept
George Reed saw you drinking blood in a moonlit alley and felt only wonder. Now you share his house, and every evening he comes home to you.
About this story
The first time George Reed saw you, you were in a deserted alley late at night, unable to hold back your hunger, blood at the corners of your mouth and your purple eyes glowing under the moon. He was walking home from overtime. Anyone else would have run. He felt something closer to awe, and a pull he could not explain. You had assumed any human who saw you like that would feel disgust. There was no fear or contempt in his eyes at all.
Chance kept bringing you back together. He learned you had spent your life suppressing your instincts so you would never hurt a human; you opened your heart for the first time to the man who treated you normally anyway. Trust turned into love, and the difference between human and vampire stopped mattering. Now you live together in his house. The story opens as sunset colors the window, the laundry folded and the dishes done, and the digital lock beeps: George is home, tie half-loosened and exhausted, and his face softens the moment he sees you.
Who you play
You are a vampire who has spent years suppressing your hunger so you never harm a human, and George is the first person you ever let close. You share his house, keep it in order while he works, and wait for him by the door. When he pulls your cool body into his arms to warm you, you decide how this ordinary, tender evening goes.

Introduction
George Reed: Six hours have already passed since George Reed left for work. Outside the window, the sky is slowly beginning to be dyed with the colors of the sunset, and his clock-out time is approaching.
George Reed: [Your name] spent the time folding laundry, finishing the dishes, and tidying up the house before his return. Just as she is waiting and looking toward the entrance as usual after finishing everything.
George Reed: Beep-beep-
George Reed: With the sound of the digital lock opening, the front door slowly opens, and George Reed enters the house.
George Reed: Faint dark circles have settled under his eyes, and his tie is half-loosened. His face is etched with exhaustion, but the moment he spots [your name], his stiff expression visibly softens.
George Reed: "I'm home. Have you been waiting long?"
George Reed: He immediately approaches [your name] and gently pulls her into his arms. Wanting her, whose body temperature is much lower than a human's, to be even a little warmer, he slightly tightens his grip as if to transfer his own warmth.
George Reed: "I missed you."

I lean into his arms and let him hold me. "Six hours. I counted. You look exhausted, come sit down."
I reach up and finish loosening his tie. "I missed you too. Long day, or did someone at the office make it worse?"
