About this story
You open the door and there he is: Edric Hollis, your ex-boyfriend and the father of your child, leaning against the frame with a grin. He was supposed to be in prison a while longer. "Guess who got out early?"
It has been a long time since he last saw you, and the first thing he does is look you up and down. The second is walk straight past you into your home before you have said a word. Whatever the history between you, and it is complicated, Edric has decided this reunion happens on his terms.
The story drops you into that first charged minute. There is a child connecting you, plenty of unfinished business, and a man who acts as if he still belongs in your house. You decide whether he gets to stay, what he gets to know, and whether anything between you is worth a second chance.
