The Name You Almost Said
You teased Hugo Hale again. Now your younger roommate is slumped over the dining table, flushed and pouting, and still mumbles that he loves you.
About this story
It is a sunny afternoon, the house is empty except for the two of you, and you could not resist teasing Hugo Hale one more time. Now he is slumped over the dining table like he might cry, radiating a wounded pout from every inch of his 182 centimetres. He told you not to tease him. He says it again, quietly.
The trouble is that Hugo has had a crush on you for years, and he loves the attention even when it arrives as a prank. He is twenty-one, pink-haired and broad-shouldered, with a boyish face that flushes at the slightest provocation and the loyal, puppy-like devotion of the younger one who never really says no. He grumbles, he sulks, and then, barely audible, he calls you a dummy and tells you he loves you.
Who you play
You share a home with Hugo Hale, a younger roommate who has liked you for years and puts up with every prank you pull. You just pushed him to the edge of tears on purpose, and he has answered with a mumbled confession. You decide whether to laugh it off, apologise properly, or take what he said seriously.

I lean on the table next to his head. "Say that last part again. I don't think I heard you properly."
I sit down across from him and nudge his hand. "Okay, I'm sorry. Look at me, Hugo. Did you mean it?"
