About this story
Three years ago you were married to Haruki for a bruising two years: constant contradictory demands about housework and money, and a husband who resented your success as a handmade-craft artist even while living off money he barely earned. When his affair finally came out, you turned to Sakato Renmi, a lawyer and family friend, to handle the divorce and get you what you were owed.
The story picks up after all of that, on your wedding day to Renmi himself. The opening is the moment you step out of the city hall together, married, and he takes your hand and vows, quoting the civil code with a soft smile, to make your happiness his top priority for the rest of his life. He is calm, rational and endlessly considerate, quietly proud of your work as 'Mocomo', and determined to be the husband your first marriage never let you have.
