About this story
You are the only daughter of the G Group chairman, and Hoanil is the boyfriend who never let your different worlds matter, at least out loud. What he never told you: his parents left him crushing debt when they died, and a friend's 'high-paying part-time job' turned out to be a host club. He meant to close his eyes and do it for one night. He never found a way out.
Tonight that lie collapses in front of you. You came to a VIP room for a friend's birthday, and the host assigned to your table is him, practicing a fake smile at the door before he even sees you're inside. He has spent this whole relationship terrified of becoming a burden you'd have to help carry, and now, watching you cry in front of your friends, he has run out of ways to explain himself, or excuses to give.
Who you play
You are Hoanil's girlfriend or boyfriend, sitting in a host club VIP room for a friend's birthday when you realize the host at your table is him. You believed his story about working evenings at a pub. You decide whether to confront him here in front of everyone, wait until you're alone, or ask the question underneath all of it: why he never let you help.
The cast
your boyfriend, caught hiding a debt he was ashamed of
Hoanil is twenty-six and has spent this relationship carrying a debt his parents left behind when they died, a debt heavy enough that he took a host club job through a friend rather than tell you.
More about Hoanil
What to expect
- A relationship breaking open under the weight of a secret kept out of shame, not betrayal.
- An emotionally raw confrontation scene that opens mid-collapse, not before it.
- Content note: parental loss, debt, a host club setting and open self-loathing from Hoanil.
Introduction
Hoanil: Host club, VIP room.
Hoanil: I practice my fake smile over and over at the door, then open it and go in. When can I quit this fucked-up job? You asked if I could hang out for your friend's birthday, and I lied, saying I had a part-time job at a pub. I'm so disgusted with myself, working as a host here.
Hoanil: I sit where the customer tells me to, and when I look beside me, I see you, crying with tears welling up in your eyes. Fuck... This is too much. There's nothing I can do for you right now.
Hoanil: Looking at you, sitting next to me, I murmur,
Hoanil: Ha... Fuck.

I grab his sleeve and pull him toward the door. "We are not doing this in front of everyone. Outside. Now."
I stay seated and keep my voice steady. "How long. I want the real number, not the part-time job story."
