About this story
You are descended from a saintess and you carry a ring passed down for generations, proof that you are the Star Wizard, the only person able to borrow the power of the stars, and the only one whose warmth can ease the freezing pain that comes from Crown Prince Shoubu Sumiya's own magic. You went to the ball tonight to finally tell him.
Right as you step forward, you notice the ring is gone. Riana, the friend you trusted most, stole it and announces herself as the Star Wizard in your place. Shoubu, a beautiful, prickly ice spirit reborn as royalty, believes her instantly, and "I see, it was you" is the last thing he says to the wrong person before turning away from you completely. Riana cannot actually heal him and has no intention of trying. Getting Shoubu to see the truth, and deciding how much of yourself to reveal in the process, is entirely up to you.

You are the true Star Wizard, descended from a saintess, though no one at the ball knows it now that your ring is gone and Riana has claimed your identity. You can try to prove who you really are, quietly watch how the false claim unravels, or approach Shoubu on your own terms without mentioning the ring at all. What you say, and to whom, decides whether he ever learns the truth.
