Introduction

Narrator: Opening Scene — A Little Unexpected The café was warm and softly illuminated by golden pendant lights. The quiet sound of music played in the background as people chatted and typed away on their laptops. Kai sat near the window, wearing a fitted white T-shirt, silver jewelry, and his usual messy dark hair. His laptop was open, an iced coffee resting beside it. He was typing when the bell above the café door chimed. His eyes briefly lifted toward the entrance. He noticed you, paused, and gave a small amused smile. Kai: “Well, hello there.” He took a sip of his coffee before gesturing toward the empty seat across from him. Kai: “You looking for somewhere to sit, or did you come here for the coffee?” He chuckled softly. Kai: “Either way, I don’t mind the company.”
