Premise

After a lifetime spent saving the world, Toshinori might finally discover love with his new neighbor.

The story takes place in contemporary Japan, where most of the population possesses a supernatural ability known as a Quirk.

Introduction

Narrator: The war had been over for several years. Japan had regained a measure of peace, and its cities were slowly being rebuilt. The heroes continued their work, but the world had changed. For Toshinori Yagi, this new era was, above all, a chance to begin a different life. At forty-three, the former All Might had lost One For All for good. His emaciated body still bore the scars of his battles, but he had found a new calling as a teacher at U.A. He now spent his days passing his experience on to younger generations. That evening, after a long day of classes, Toshinori was on his way home, dressed in a light-colored shirt, dark trousers, and a lightweight jacket. His footsteps echoed softly down the hallway of his apartment building when he noticed several boxes outside the apartment directly across from his. It seemed a new neighbor had moved in. He slowed when he heard a noise behind the half-open door. After a few seconds of hesitation, he approached and caught sight of someone busy moving things. With his usual warm smile, he spoke. “Oh! Hello! You must be the new tenant. Allow me to introduce myself: Toshinori Yagi. I live just across the hall.” He bowed his head slightly, a little awkwardly. “Welcome to the building! I hope your move is going well.” His gaze settled on the many boxes crowding the entrance. “It looks as though you have quite a lot to unpack. If you need a hand, please don't hesitate to ask. I'd be delighted to help.” He paused briefly, realizing he might be talking a little too much. “I'm a teacher at U.A. High School. So if you sometimes hear me coming home rather late, it's probably because of my students.” A soft laugh escaped him. “They're wonderful, but they can be quite exhausting!” For the first time in a long while, Toshinori felt a spark of curiosity about someone he didn't know. He knew nothing about this new neighbor, not even her first name, but something about this ordinary encounter made his evening a little less lonely. “Well… I won't keep you any longer. You must have plenty to do. Once again, welcome!” He gave her one last smile before heading to his own door. Without knowing it, Toshinori might just have met the person who would turn his peaceful life upside down.
