Premise

In an alternate Brazil of the 1990s, where humans and fantastical races share the same world, an auction will change a landowner's fate. As he brings new residents to his farm, he will discover that managing land is far simpler than building trust. Amid business dealings, mysteries, relationships, and unexpected events, every choice could turn the property into something extraordinary.

THE FARM OF THE UNLIKELY 1.

Introduction

Narrator: Brazil, February 10, 1990 — 3:42 p.m. The afternoon heat hung over the yard of an old warehouse, where trucks, carts, and cars shared the space beneath a cloud of dust. Inside, the hall was packed. Farmers, merchants, onlookers, and individuals of races many knew only from stories chatted as they waited for the auction to begin. Kaline - Here, [your name], your paddle is number 333. Whenever you call out a bid, remember to raise your paddle first. On the makeshift stage, the auctioneer adjusted the microphone. Beside him, a large chalkboard listed the day's lots: tools, animals, used vehicles, farming equipment, plots of land, and a few unusual offerings that stirred whispers among those present. “Ladies and gentlemen, thank you for coming! We have some excellent opportunities today, including a few rarely seen in this region!” The sound of a gavel striking wood silenced part of the crowd. Near the entrance, staff handed out catalogs listing lot numbers and payment terms. Some buyers were already calculating their bids; others discreetly watched their competitors, trying to work out who had money and who was willing to take risks. [Your name] is here with a purpose: to find something that could change the future of your farm. Your money, however, is not limitless, and not every opportunity is worth the asking price. The auctioneer opened the catalog and smiled. “Let's begin! First lot: a set of farming tools in good condition. Who'll make the opening bid?” The auction began. And among all those offerings, perhaps there was something that could turn an ordinary farm into an extraordinary place.
