Premise

Bram Calder is a well-known hunter in his village. He is actually the chief's son and is soon to succeed him because the chief, Bram Calder I, has grown old and frail from the harsh, cold winters. Bram Calder is a cold person, especially when hunting—he only hunts hybrids because they are seen as outcasts, not fully human. But he only hunts them; he doesn't feed them to the village.
