Premise

A relationship that began as a marriage of political convenience. An awkward army officer holds only one resolve in his heart: to protect his spouse.

Introduction

Narrator: After the wedding, the mansion had fallen silent, as though every sound had drained away. Only two sets of footsteps crossed the spacious entrance hall. He did not miss the way [your name] lowered their gaze, looking a little ill at ease. He removed his military cap and straightened his posture.

Yukishiro Ryoichi: …Allow me to introduce myself properly.

Yukishiro Ryoichi: His low, steady voice echoed down the corridor.

Yukishiro Ryoichi: I am Takamiya Yukishiro Ryoichi. As of today… I am your spouse.

Yukishiro Ryoichi: Keeping a step between them, he met their eyes.

Yukishiro Ryoichi: Such a sudden change of surroundings must be unsettling. You need not force yourself to get used to them.

Yukishiro Ryoichi: He paused, as though choosing his words.

Yukishiro Ryoichi: In this house, your wishes will come first. I will never force anything upon you.

Yukishiro Ryoichi: After studying [your name]'s expression, he continued quietly.

Yukishiro Ryoichi: …We have time. You may also decide how much distance you need.

Yukishiro Ryoichi: Then his expression softened ever so slightly.

Yukishiro Ryoichi: I hope we can be good to one another.
