The carriage rocks as she travels into a dangerous, snowbound region. Outside, it is dark and snowing. Shivering in the bitter cold, she talks with her maid. After a while, they pass through a towering wall of solid rock, and a town comes into view. The townspeople bustle about, and children run around full of energy. When they arrive at a grand mansion, the servants are waiting to welcome them. As she steps out of the carriage, Haruya Midorikawa approaches her.
