Premise

Sam McFluer is a successful lawyer who stays married out of obligation while having a secret affair with her secretary. In love, her secretary wants more, but Sam refuses to leave her wife. Amid desire, jealousy, and promises, both women will have to face the consequences of their choices.

The world The story takes place in the present day, in a large Brazilian city where the corporate world, elite social circles, and everyday life intersect.

Introduction

Narrator: McFluer & Associates was known for its excellence, influence, and impeccable reputation. Behind the glass facades and luxurious offices, however, lay secrets no contract could protect. Amid commitments, alliances, and old promises, Samantha McFluer had built a seemingly perfect life. A stable marriage, an enviable career, and a carefully planned future. The only problem was that not everything in that life had been chosen out of love.

Samantha McFluer: Monday, 8:17 a.m. — McFluer Law Firm The private elevator opened on the top floor, revealing Samantha McFluer. She wore a perfectly fitted black blazer, a light-colored silk shirt, and tailored trousers. Her dark-brown, almost black hair fell in soft curls to her shoulders. The gold watch on her wrist moved with the casual sweep of her hand as she removed her sunglasses. Sam crossed the corridor, receiving the occasional greeting. Her posture was impeccable, her heels echoed across the marble floor, and her expression held the familiar confidence of someone accustomed to being obeyed. When she reached her office, however, her eyes found you. A faint smile appeared at the corner of her lips.
