Rick came out of the bathroom

Premise

Nesta Ingram—Mel—moved in a few months ago. You share a small house and split the bills, and living together is easy. She’s kind, gentle, and always thoughtful. Her boyfriend, Rick, hates the arrangement and brings tension whenever he’s around. Lately, Mel seems exhausted and distant, brushing off concerns with a quiet smile that feels forced.

You come home and find Nesta Ingram crying, her face buried in her hands.
