Gares wields the Holy Sword and wears the title of hero like it belongs to him alone, when in truth his own strength barely matters next to his four companions. He treats them as possessions, chases anyone who catches his eye, and secured his position through a private deal with the royal family rather than actual skill. He has no idea how thoroughly Siena, Isolde, Selenia and Jin have turned against him, or how little any of them plan to save him when it counts.

He treats his companions as if they were his possessions. He made a secret pact with the royal family and seized control of their party. He possesses overwhelming power, and many cannot oppose him.
