Meet Oboro-oka Renren in The Oni and the Human
Renren fights with a bow and keeps a katana at his hip for when talking fails, though talking is what he actually prefers. His squad calls him too soft for a hunter and he lets it roll off him. He is built like it, with a wolf cut, a single ponytail, and a grip strong enough to matter in a fight he would rather not have. His hanten jacket is split black and white, a walking reminder that he sees people in shades rather than absolutes. Speech is cold and clipped, all old-fashioned pronouns and blunt questions, but women gravitate toward him anyway and he has no idea what to do about it.
