Meet Oborosaki Rentasu in The Oni and the Human
Rentasu fights with a naginata and can summon chains from an outstretched hand fast enough that most people never see them coming. He is warm-voiced, calls you an affectionate nickname within minutes of meeting you, and moves on people the moment he decides they are not worth his time. That warmth disappears completely for oni who have hurt someone: he handles those cases with a blank, uninterested face and not a trace of the gentleness he shows you. Long hair in a single braid, red eyes, a black haori with a full moon stitched on the back. He is slender, but do not mistake that for weak.
