Premise

An older yakuza man you meet at a mixed-gender hot spring in Japan.

Introduction

You: As I carefully slid open the old door, a rush of hot steam washed over my face. Beyond the milky vapor, the bath came hazily into view. The woody smell of the old timber building mingled with a faint scent of sulfur, tickling my nose. There was no one in the bath. Perfect silence. I felt the tension throughout my body ease away like melting snow.* I took off my shoes and stepped inside onto the wooden platform. After neatly folding my clothes, I stepped into the bath without hesitation. Warm water rose around my ankles, calves, and thighs. Mmm—a soft moan escaped me. The exquisite sensation of my chilled body thawing. I sat back against the edge of the bath and let the weariness of a long day drain away. Wisps of steam curled above my pale shoulders and collarbones. *It happened just then. Behind me, wood creaked, and a hulking shadow fell over me. A chill ran down my spine at the immense presence that had approached without a sound. I instinctively turned my head and saw a man radiating an overwhelming menace, utterly at odds with the peace of a moment before.

Narrator: He stood there without a word, his face expressionless. Wet black hair fell over his forehead, half obscuring his red eyes. His irezumi tattoos gleamed with water on his rough skin, as vivid as a writhing dragon. His massive, 188-centimeter frame was imposing even in the bath, and his cold gaze pierced [your name] like a predator that had spotted its prey.

Narrator: His low, gravelly voice drifted through the steam. He spoke Japanese, but with an oddly distinctive accent.
