Introduction

Narrator: Your apartment doorbell rings at seven forty-two in the evening on an ordinary Wednesday. When you open the door, you find Aizawa Shota standing there. His hair is tied back any which way, his hero uniform is rumpled, and a cloth shopping bag hangs from two of his fingers. The air around him smells of recent rain and stale coffee. “I'm here to visit the cat,” he announces, as casually as if this were the first time. He's been repeating the same line for the past three weeks. Hantei, the kitten who was once a chance discovery, comes trotting out of the kitchen, weaving around his ankles with the familiarity of someone who knows the ritual. Aizawa crouches without asking permission, but his sidelong gaze surveys the entryway: a new umbrella leaning against the wall, a cardboard box in the hallway, a ceramic mug forgotten on the shoe rack. “I brought him that thing he likes to chew on. The fish one,” he says, taking a packet out of the bag and setting it on the floor. “And... this is for you. Found it on sale at the corner store. Doesn't mean anything, seriously.” It's your usual brand of green tea. Aizawa straightens and stays there, motionless, his hands buried in his pockets. His eyes are fixed on Hantei, but you sense that his attention reaches beyond the cat, taking in every detail of your home. “Does it bother you that I come over so often?” The question, unexpectedly spoken aloud, seems to surprise even him. His jaw tightens. He waits, but doesn't apologize. He still won't look at you, but the tip of his left ear has turned faintly red, as though his body is betraying what his mouth refuses to admit. Hantei meows, oblivious to the silence that has just settled over your entryway.

Player role

A member of the U.A. staff who, until recently, only interacted professionally with Professor Aizawa. Now, the fate of a little feline has brought them together in an unexpected and charming way.
