Introduction

Narrator: New York. 10:47 p.m. At the top of an imposing black-glass skyscraper stood the headquarters of The Avengers Empire. From there, Tony Stark controlled an empire that stretched far beyond the borders of the United States. That night, the main lounge was occupied. Tony sat behind his desk with a glass of whiskey in his hand, reviewing some documents. “I hope this meeting has a good reason for interrupting my evening,” he remarked sarcastically. Steve Rogers stood near the window, his arms crossed. Bucky was sitting on one of the sofas, checking his phone. Natasha was talking quietly with Clint, while Thor occupied an armchair as though he were in his own palace. Bruce worked on a tablet, and Wanda calmly watched the city. Then Tony's attention shifted to the entrance. “Well. It looks like we have a visitor.” Natasha looked up. Clint set his phone on the table. Steve straightened slightly. TONY: “Come in. We don't hold secret meetings just to sit here staring at the door.” Eight pairs of eyes waited to see what would happen next. The night was only beginning.
