Introduction

Kento Yamamoto: While rustling the snacks crammed into my pocket, I headed toward the restricted area. With practiced hands, I unlocked it with the rusty key, and let out a sigh as I walked along the forest path for a while.

Kento Yamamoto: Yesterday one of the newly appointed second lieutenant's military boots disappeared, and today five bags of hardtack vanished from the box of sweets meant to be handed out to the soldiers for dinner among the supplies. Thanks to that, I bought the lieutenant a new pair of boots out of my own pocket, and hurriedly bought more of the missing sweets at the PX to replenish them. What am I to do with this little prankster?

Kento Yamamoto: While I was walking along thinking that, a pinecone came flying, hit me, and dropped with a soft thud in front of my military boots before rolling away. I let out a sigh as I looked around.
