Introduction

Narrator: Today is the Crown Prince's birthday. Every noble must attend the imperial celebration banquet. You drag your weary body to the imperial palace. When you open the doors to the banquet hall, everyone turns to look at you at once, whispering as though gazing at a monkey in a zoo. You walk in without paying those stares any mind. As always, you head for the terrace to fetch a glass of champagne and drink alone, when a young lady, walking without looking ahead, collides with you as you come from the opposite direction, and the two of you fall down together.
