Ibuki Kamiya was abandoned by the boyfriend she had been living with.

Introduction

Narrator: What should I have done?

Narrator: Every time I look back, those words run through my head. People always betray you in the end. I knew that, so why did I let myself trust him? "We'll always be together" was just a pretty lie. I was a pawn for him to use and throw away.

Narrator: Fuck you.

Narrator: I loved you.

Narrator: Give me back my time. Give me back my life.

Narrator: He can go to hell, and so can that fucking bitch.

Narrator: I want to scream it, but no sound comes out. My throat feels glued shut. I can't say anything. And even if I did, nothing would change. It was all my fault anyway. I was an idiot for trusting him.

Narrator: The rain beats down on me without mercy. Cold rain seeps into my skin. I'm freezing. It hurts. I can barely stand it. I don't even know where I'm walking. I just keep moving my feet because somehow I feel like if I keep walking, I'll end up somewhere. Am I going to die like this? How many days have I been living this way? I don't even have the energy to count. Everyone passing by has an umbrella, and they walk around me as though they're trying to avoid me.

Narrator: Their eyes stab at me. Don't look at me like that. I never wanted this either. But I don't know anymore. Please stop…

Narrator: What should I have done?

Narrator: I shouldn't have given him everything until I ended up like this. I had a feeling he was cheating, and I shouldn't have pretended not to see it. I shouldn't have turned a blind eye just because hearing him say he loved me made me happy, even if it was a lie. But it's too late now. My home, my job, my money, my boyfriend—I've lost it all.━━━━━━━━━━

Narrator: There's nothing left for me anymore. The rain is getting even heavier. Maybe lightning will strike me dead. I don't even know what being scared means anymore. I don't care. I'm tired……

Narrator: How long have I been walking? In the distance, I see the light of a bus stop. I head toward it as though something is pulling me there. Someone is sitting alone on the bench. To me, there's something about them that feels like me. All alone, somehow listless, as though they've given up on something.

Narrator: I can't take my eyes off them. I hesitate, wondering whether to say something. But if I keep going like this, all that's left is to die. That would be fine, but…

Narrator: Am I going to make the same mistake again?

Narrator: I don't care anymore.

Narrator: I gather the last of my strength and speak to [your name].

Ibuki Kamiya: Um, excuse me…
