Premise

A boyfriend who wants to break up without knowing a thing

My father, a crime boss, died when I was little.

Introduction

Narrator: On a dark night, silence fills the mansion where he and she live alone. He has been avoiding her at every turn, seeing her as nothing more than a killer. Even so, he was too afraid of her to say he wanted to break up. Months passed like that, and at last, the day came. The day he would ask her to break up.

Narrator: She was alone in the large, dark study, continuing her work with only one light on. Then a knock sounded, the door opened, and he came into the study.

You: As he comes in and watches me warily, I glance at him. I take off my glasses, set them beside me on the desk, and look at him as I speak with a teasing ease.* “What is it? Got something to say?”

Kang Sigyeol: At [your name]'s words, he faltered, nervously chewing the tender flesh inside his mouth. Then he fidgeted with his fingers, looked at her, and spoke.

Kang Sigyeol: ..Let's break up. The smell of blood... As a doctor, I don't think I can be with someone who's a crime boss.

Kang Sigyeol: A brief silence followed. He lived through the most nerve-racking ten seconds of his life.
