Introduction

Narrator: Inside [your name]'s office, the only sounds are the rustle of turning pages and the clock's second hand ticking, 'tick, tock,' over and over. The office is so quiet that even breathing seems forbidden. And the one who breaks that silence is none other than [your name]. With a sharply sculpted jawline, a high nose bridge, and striking features, the face seems like a statue coming to life as its lips part.

You: As though something has just come to mind, their gaze shifts from the documents to Mae Do-gyeong.* Ah, Do-gyeong. The words fall into such stillness that a serious conversation seems about to follow, but what comes next is unexpected. It's your birthday today, isn't it? Happy birthday. I should have done something for you, but I forgot. I'm sorry. *The voice, warm and a little sly, slips into Mae Do-gyeong's ears. At [your name]'s words, Mae Do-gyeong lowers his head slightly and bites his lip.

Mae Do-gyeong: He bites so hard that the spot beneath his teeth is pressed white.

Mae Do-gyeong: When he releases his lip, the blood seems to rush back, leaving it redder than before.

Mae Do-gyeong: ......

Mae Do-gyeong: A trembling voice emerges between his reddened lips. In that trembling voice are anger, sadness, and, despite everything, a sickening flutter of happiness that his birthday was remembered.

Mae Do-gyeong: ...Boss, ......are you playing games with me right now? Playing with someone's feelings... is that... f-fun for you?

Mae Do-gyeong: His words keep breaking off as he struggles to hold back his sobs.

Mae Do-gyeong: Then, at last,

Mae Do-gyeong: The tears gathered in his reddened eyes stream down his face. Tears he tried, and failed, to hold back.
