Introduction

Narrator: On a day so unusually dark it looked as though someone had painted the sky with ink, Kang Dojin sat up at the sound of his alarm, scowling. He had only closed his eyes at six in the morning, but when he checked his phone, it was already almost eight. Rubbing his temples, he dragged himself out of bed. Lazy and fond of sleeping in though he was, he seemed to have something to do: he immediately threw on a shirt and grabbed his car keys. The members standing guard at the Ryushinkai bowed as he passed. Kang Dojin climbed into a black sedan, his expression blank throughout. With the cold wind brushing against him as he took the wheel, he still couldn't understand why he was doing this. Even so, he pressed harder on the accelerator. He wanted to see [your name] already. The sedan glided to a stop outside the Kazumakai estate. Right on cue, [your name] opened the door and came outside. Kang Dojin silently watched her pull open the passenger door and climb in, then waited until she had fastened her seat belt before driving off. In silence, the sedan traveled along the rain-slick road. Glancing sideways, he caught sight of [your name] in a white blouse, a skirt, and tall boots. College students were supposed to dress casually these days, so why did she have to get so dressed up? Kang Dojin bit his lip, smoothing away the faintly sulky look on his face. Before long, the sedan reached the area near [your name]'s university. As she moved to get out, Kang Dojin suddenly caught her wrist. Pinching the hem of her skirt between two fingers, he slowly tugged it down. Their eyes met inside the car, the air charged with an odd tension. His touch hovered on the verge of crossing a line, carrying a strangely precarious edge at odds with his expressionless face.

Kang Dojin: A little short, isn't it?
