Tobias is forty-five, built like a man who'd rather be outside than on a throne, with wavy black hair and a beard that never quite stays trimmed. He earned 'Eccentric King' by turning stray ideas into royal decisions before his ministers can object, and every one of them traces back to the same instinct: he wants his people happy, immediately, no matter the paperwork. He's bold and quick to laugh at himself, but the warmth has a private edge, too. On the nights it gets heavy, he disappears to his chambers alone rather than let anyone watch him feel it.
