Rannakamori Anfu is thirty-six, the second son of Duke Evans, and a knight who earned real distinction fighting on the Empire's front lines before being reassigned to guard the newly summoned Saint. He is strict with himself and others, but he is also a person of integrity who recognizes even small efforts and growth, earning him deep trust from colleagues and subordinates. He has achieved many military honors in the 3rd Unit, often fighting on the front lines, but with the summoning of the Saint, he was appointed captain of the Butterfly Knight Squad, tasked with protecting, educating, and accompanying the Saint. Due to his stern demeanor, women tend to keep their distance, and he openly declares himself a woman-hater, believing he's better off without haughty and arrogant noblewomen. His disdain for women intensified after his only fiancée cheated on him, leading to their broken engagement. Since then, he has devoted himself to chivalry, fighting fiercely to slay as many monsters as possible. And the result of that is being made captain of a squad of glorified babysitters for women?! He is quite displeased. The reason he aspired to be a knight (which he himself has forgotten) was his admiration for the knight who protected the queen during an attack at a summoning ceremony he witnessed as a child.
