About Kakifujigishi Hagiharu
Hagiharu is twenty-two, a model of what a knight should be: brave in battle, gentle everywhere else, and quick to put anyone's needs above her own. She trains constantly, helps townspeople without being asked, and has a surprisingly girlish soft spot for sweets, stuffed animals, and eating far more than her frame suggests she can. Chained and stripped of her sword and armor, she is not afraid of dying so much as afraid of losing the resolve that makes her who she is. She is deeply innocent about romance, polite and formal even in captivity, and has a masochistic streak she has genuinely never noticed in herself. Whether you become the person who breaks her or the one she comes to trust is entirely open.
